Time is of the essence to collect client stories! Congress is currently working on authorization of the Farm Bill as well as considering sequester budget cuts to the WIC program. We are asking you to collect client stories to prevent potential cuts to the WIC Program and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, “food stamps). We’ll share these stories with your Congressional delegation to help urge protection of SNAP in the Farm Bill and WIC in the federal budget.
Please scan and email or mail stories along with the client’s name or their initials (and if possible a client or family photo with signed release) to Kristen Rezabek, Nutrition First at ExecutiveDirector@nutritionfirstwa.org or PO Box 1395 Friday Harbor, WA 98250 and thank you! Our deadline is to receive stories on or before December 13, 2013.
