VIRTUAL

We are excited to present a fresh, global approach to nutrition that attendees will walk away feeling ready to provide culturally relevant, approachable, and evidence-based nutrition services.  This training is appropriate for all levels, from paraprofessional to Master’s level dietitian.   Continuing education credits will be provided.

The first two days of the workshop will feature speakers from Ellyn Satter Institute to provide a foundational approach to reducing food struggles and lessening stress. Using case studies and breakout sessions, faculty from ESI will troubleshoot often-seen and emerging issues feeding kids.

The third day will focus primarily on adult nutrition, taking a deep dive into diet culture, weight bias, and what the current evidence shows works for managing pregnancies deemed risky because of large body size.
