This training provides a fresh, global approach to nutrition that attendees will walk away feeling ready to provide culturally relevant, approachable, and evidence-based nutrition services.  It is appropriate for all levels, from paraprofessional to Master’s level dietitian.   It has been approved for 11.25 continuing education credits.

The first two days of the workshop feature speakers from the Ellyn Satter Institute providing a foundational approach to reducing food struggles and lessening stress. Using case studies and videos, faculty from ESI troubleshoot often-seen and emerging issues feeding kids.

The third day is focused primarily on adult nutrition, taking a deep dive into diet culture, weight bias, and what the current evidence shows works for managing pregnancies deemed risky because of large body size.
