Immigration 101 Training for Service Providers – Provided by: NWIRPÂ (Northwest Immigrant Rights Project)
Seattle Central Library, September 21st 10 am- 1pm.
From NWIRP website: This training is aimed at social service providers and people working closely with the immigrant community, as well as allies who want to learn how they can more effectively stand with immigrants in their community. Our free training will discuss several immigration issues including recent changes to immigration policy under the Trump Administration, how people can qualify for immigration status; protections for victims of crime, unaccompanied youth, and asylum seekers; immigration detention and deportation, and why high quality legal representation for immigrants is particularly important. This training will be conducted in English. It is not a legal training, and will not offer Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
