The Registered Dietitian (RD) Supervisor is responsible for the management of the Nutrition team, serves as a clinician for the Nutrition and Family Services (NFS) team including the WIC program, and supports the NFS Director with the development, evaluation and implementation of NFS services. This position also provides therapeutic diet instruction and/or nutrition counseling to patients (called relatives) for the prevention or treatment of nutrition-related medical conditions with emphasis on diabetes, birthing relative services, and on occasion, WIC. The RD Supervisor provides nutrition care to a high-risk population with multiple co-morbidities who face significant social barriers to healthcare and nutrition. This position will strengthen the wraparound, holistic care provided to SIHB relatives and prioritizes nutrition care to the urban American Indian/Alaska native population.
